Alexandra Daro, Ph.D.
Welcome
Welcome to my professional website. I am a developmental psychologist specializing in early childhood education research with a particular focus on workforce wellbeing, parental perspectives on school readiness, and improving access to quality early childhood education.
With over a decade of experience in the early childhood field, I currently lead research initiatives that inform policy and practice in early childhood education.
My research examines critical aspects of early childhood development and education, including:
- Early childhood educator wellbeing and workforce retention
- Parents’ perspectives on school readiness and early education access
- Program evaluation and needs assessment in early childhood systems
- Impacts of COVID-19 on early childhood care providers and families
As a researcher committed to making a difference in the lives of young children and those who care for them, I work closely with policymakers, practitioners, and families to ensure that research findings translate into meaningful improvements in early childhood education and care.
